Project Report on Cement From Clinker

Man's effort to build a shelter for himself and to make it more and more comfortable, dates back to the very dawn of history. For this, he needed some construction materials in the beginning, he relied upon nature but gradually, later on he produced a wonderful material for construction known as cement. Development activities are indispensable for any economy. The crux of economic growth and development depends upon the rapid rate of capital formation. In 1947, the country had a production capacity of only 2.15 million tones which by 1974 exceeded 21million tonnes through an addition of 40 addition works. Today the production capacity is gone up to nearly 50 million tonnes, the maximum production of which goes to the Associated  Cement Companies (ACC). The production of cement requires lime stone as the main raw material, besides others like bauxite, clay, iron ore, gypsum, and coal. With the increasing cement production  the consumption of these raw materials will also increase commensurately.
