There are also records, though not clear of reaptacles made from rice paper in china during the Eleventh Century. In America and England corrugated cartons had been made at least early as in 10th Century, but the cartons were all hand made. Corrugated cartons were firstly developed by the Thomsan and Norris Company in 1980, and the first regular slotted style containers were the products of the Robert Gair Company. The first use of corrugated cartons in freight shipments was for lamp and Chimenys. Official recognition of these containers by the official freight classification committee came in 1900.
