The usual construction methods are now giving way to more specialized and efficient materials   and techniques for construction. Constant innovation has helped the sector to come out  with new techniques that help in quick and easy  realization of  projects. Prefabricated construction is not new, but it  has suddenly gained importance seeing the demand for housing and infrastructure   rising. With the conventional methods of construction using brick and mortar time consuming  and not efficient, prefab construction proves to be a better and efficient  alternative. Prefabricated structures are useful for sites  where normal construction is not suitable like hilly regions, flyover sites, and even commercial buildings.But, seeing the  advantages of prefab construction, builders are now clearly going in for it as it requires less time and is more well-organized. Prefab construction till now had been restricted  to constructing small units like project site offices, cold storages,  exhibition halls, portable cabins,  kiosks, workshops and warehouses.  But now with the country witnessing an infrastructure boom, even flyover construction and the Metro are applying the prefab construction techniques for the simple reason that  normal  construction methods cannot be used due  to  safety issues at these sites.
